Founded by Harvard & Oxford researchers, the Lumiere Research Scholar Program is a selective program for talented high school students. In the program, students work 1-1 with a research mentor from a top university to develop a 15-20 page research paper. Students do research in topics in every academic field, ranging from machine learning and economics to physics. In the 2020-2021 school year, over 1500 students applied to the program and 500 were admitted.
Their three programs are The Individual Research Program (12 weeks), the Premium Research & Publication Program (16-20 weeks) and the Research Fellowship (6-12 months). They do provide financial aid to students, but it is all need based aid and students are expected to provide more information in their application while submitting it.
