So, for me, when I first had my call with Charushilla Ma'am, she listened to all of my interests very carefully. She outlined the Liberal Arts programme for me, and she opened an entirely new door for me.
My counselors helped me throughout the whole process. From identifying the right course for me, the universities which fit my profile, to helping me write and edit endless essays during the application process. They have been very supportive during this time and even kept me positive despite getting many rejections in the early days.
During college planning, I acknowledged my bias towards believing that only top-ranked universities could advance my career and dreams. I thought that giving my best would guarantee acceptance anywhere. However, I realized the flaw in this mindset. It was essential to focus on improving myself, rather than solely seeking out top-tier schools. By shattering this glass ceiling, I opened myself up to new opportunities and a more holistic approach to achieving my goals.
Over the journey with UC, my counselor was not just a counsellor but a therapist, motivational speaker, and friend. No matter how I felt or what was going on with me, she had a solution along with faith in me and believed in me from the very beginning. I do not think I would be in college if it were not for the whole UC Team.
Honestly, this journey and even making it to King's wouldn’t have been possible without my counselor. She guided me through some of the most difficult times in my college planning journey. With her able guidance, I was able to firmly make up my mind as to which college is best for me and the steps I need to take so as to make my dream come true.
My orange counselor was my biggest mentor. Without her, nothing would be possible. At every step, she corrected me and helped me build my resume and portfolio, waking up till late at night just to help me to complete my tasks on time. With her, I had zero difficulties in my college application process. Because of her, I got into the best study abroad program in the country I always dreamed of studying fine arts and design.
University Connection helped me find myself through the chaos of life and honestly I am not sure if I would've been able to attain a balance in life without this wonderful team. I gained some clarity on what I wanted to do in college and how I wanted to do it, from where I wanted to do it. I got to meet a lot of new people in the process and learn new things in life which was one of the best things that could happen to someone. UC is not only a counselling place for me, it is family.
I really appreciate that my counsellor was always honest with me. My most popular question was always "Do you think I'll get in?" and her reply used to be "Amrita, let's be hopeful." She never gave me false expectations, made sure I know exactly where I am standing, made me aware of my strengths and weaknesses, and encouraged me to do my best and keep my hopes up high. I have made relations that I will forever keep in my heart and I am deeply grateful for that.
My parents and family have been very grateful to the help that was offered to me by the Orange team at every level. This has been a difficult journey for them, given that parents are completely involved with their kids having a secure and successful educational future. However, the Orange Team has ensured in the best way possible, that their help combined with my goals could help me get into the best Universities for my course.
This has been an extremely enriching journey for me. Among the vast list of universities across countries, it was a great challenge to finally list down the colleges which mattered most to me. College Planning is much bigger than it is thought to be. It requires a lot of time, patience, clarity, efforts, self-evaluation, and definitely tons of research. My bond with UC will always be very special for me!
I am extremely thankful to UC for helping me realize my dream. I believe the most special thing about UC is that they make everyone feel very special and capable of accomplishing wonders. All my mentors were very encouraging and always ready to help. They understood me really well and therefore, their advice was accurate and always welcome.
My journey with my counselor has been perfect. I've had a wonderful time working with her. She helped me with everything from the start. Everything was organized so well and I had a clear list of tasks that I needed to complete. She was also very patient with me as I was also studying in law school at the time. She was immensely helpful while I wrote my essays and provided a lot of constructive feedback. She also helped me with the training I needed while appearing for TOEFL and the interviews. She also offered adequate encouragement and support when I needed it. It was wonderful working with her.
My Orange Counselor made my life way easier. They helped me with planning out my months from testing to extracurriculars to helping me gain connections to editing my essays to compiling long lists of colleges to reviewing my applications and just providing general guidance and advice to make this process way easier. They also constantly motivated me and interacted with me and were really easy to reach out to.
I am a CBSE student with little experience in writing essays, but my counselor always brought out the best in me and helped me improve with notes and feedbacks. I joined UC with a very firm decision of applying only to Canada but towards the end of the year wanted to apply to India and UK as well. The entire team was extremely supportive, understood the circumstances and helped me with it even though I was late.
